July 11: I Love the Internet

This book was written by my great-grandmother, Cobie deLespinasse.  It is a children's novel, developed from a story that she told my dad and my uncle when they were kids.  The book is dedicated to them.  It is, understandably, a family treasure.

Now here's where the Internet comes in.  I have a book search set up with a website called alibris.com.  They deal in used books, and are a portal of sorts for other used book sellers.  The search system emails me every time one of Cobie's books comes up for sale at any of their partner stores.  This one came up just last week for the very reasonable price of $20.   I snap up these books whenever I can, so that her great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren can have copies.
