Earlier this month, I went to our Relief Society Super Saturday (me attending a RS activity is surely one of the signs of the coming Apocalypse) because one of the crafts they offered was this. These temple pictures (taken by my amazing dad, who graciously allowed me to reproduce his work) are printed on a transparency, and then the back is covered with very fine metal leaf. It was a time-consuming and messy project, and it turned out great. I had to custom-order the inner mats (which just arrived today) because the pictures didn't reduce down to a standard 8x10 size. These pictures really don't do the process justice (especially because the camera was not straight, and it makes it all look crooked). They really look awesome!
