Tonight was Senior Awards night for Interlake's class of 2011. It was an amazing night. We have a school full of major overachievers--the ceremony was 2 hours long! Seriously, I was so impressed by the many accomplishments of this senior class.
Of course I am most proud of Eldon and his fellow IHS Swim teammate, Alex Rockwell, who were both the recipients of the IHS Booster Club Memorial Scholarship, to the tune of $1,000! The award was based on academics, leadership, but most of all on athletic accomplishments, and when you realize that their athletic resumes were darn near identical, right down to being teammates in the medley relay that took 1st place at state and each winning an individual event at state this year.
(They are also snappy dressers and handsome young men!)
