My sister gave me a great idea for making quick omelets for breakfast. She sautes up a bunch of veggies all at once and uses a little bit each day until they're gone. I thought this was brilliant, but was sad that I wouldn't be able to include mushrooms since Rob refuses to even let them in the house. However, when mentioning this idea to Rob, he actually agreed to let me get mushrooms as long as I cooked them when he either wasn't home or was asleep, and ran the fan while cooking them. I upped the ante by cleaning everything immediately (hand-washing the dishes instead of just rinsing and putting in the dishwasher), and eliminating every trace of mushrooms from the kitchen. And, did I mention the omelet was to die for? And that I have enough veggies for 6 more days?? Awesome!
P.S. Despite all my efforts, apparently, the house still "reeked" of mushrooms when Rob woke up this morning. Sigh...

Can you cook the veggies at a friend's house? You could use my house if we lived closer.
