I'm a fool for Mariners baseball. And by "fool," I mean "idiot enough to watch them even when they are terrible, like they have been the past 8 years." I love all the statistics and stories that the broadcasters tell (though this year was very lean on the great stories, RIP Dave Niehaus), and it just reminds me of summer and sunshine, and what's not to love about that? Tonight is the last game of the regular season. Again, another very disappointing season. The highlight has been watching the young guns get called up from AAA and getting used to the Majors. Dustin Ackley (2B) has been one of the best of this young bunch. How many days until Spring Training?
