Today was Eldon's last day of lifeguarding before he leaves for school (he teaches lessons tomorrow and Friday still). I had arranged for a surprise going-away party with his swim team little buddies. He thought we were only going to have our friends the Gees come down to swim after he got off work, and at first he didn't realize that all the swim team families weren't just there to enjoy the lovely day, they were there for his party. It was classic! Much swimming, laughter, tossing of small children, eating, and fun ensued.
I love this picture of Eldon with the Huff boys. Jake, Jared, Josh, and Jonah Huff are the cutest bunch of brothers you ever want to meet. Their mom very cleverly went to byubookstore.com and ordered an awesome BYU sweatshirt as a going-away gift. Note how Jonah is jealously guarding the sweatshirt wrapped in tissue paper until Eldon finishes reading the card.
