After a very lovely and yummy breakfast this morning with my Uncle Paul and Aunt Doris, we headed to Reno, our stop for the night. Upon arriving at our Motel 6, we found that our ground-floor nonsmoking rooms that faced the parking lot were actually ground-floor SMOKING rooms that faced the pool and laundry room. Uhh...NO. I had made it crystal clear when I made the reservations that those were the three things that were most important. The only reason we chose Motel 6 in the first place was because we could park right outside our door (thus eliminating the need to unpack the entire van).
We got a refund, and contemplated our next move. The manager had found us rooms at another Motel 6 in town that met our criteria, but we were (understandably) a little leery. When Rob suggested we find a nice place to have dinner and then drive on through the night to Vegas, the boys were all for it! With the help of our awesome new GPS system, we found a Ruby River steakhouse, had a great dinner, and headed for Vegas.
